Dr. Sonya Carson, LCSW-S

Dr. Sonya Nicole Carson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a board approved supervisor in the State of Texas. She has a Clinical Social Work license in Colorado. Dr. Carson received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology at Wiley College, Master’s Degree in Social Work through the University of Houston’s Graduate College of Social Work and Doctorate of Counselor’s Education from Texas Southern University. Dr. Carson has been providing mental health services over the course of 15 years, and has worked in Child Protective Services, acute care and medical hospital settings, as well as a psychiatric prison. She is currently providing therapy and diagnostic assessments in Colorado, Michigan and Texas to marginalized/rural populations in addition to being an adjunct Professor with Baylor’s Graduate School of Social Work and an Associate Professor at Prairie View’s Graduate School of Social Work.
