Kenshara Cravens believes everyone is capable of change. It’s this tenet that has led to her pursuing her calling in Social Work. With a singular goal of empowering as many people as she can, she finds ways to contribute through service, mentorship, and compassion.
Kenshara Cravens, Ph.D., is a dedicated advocate for change and education. As a first-generation college student, she understands the value of education, accompanied by change, which she associates with overcoming adversity. Kenshara earned her Ph.D. in Social Work from Walden University in 2023, focusing on the experiences and perceptions of hospital social workers.
In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), she holds licenses as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW). Dr. Cravens is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Prairie View A&M University, actively engaging her students through dynamic classroom activities and community-building exercises.
Her remarkable achievements include receiving the Sages of Clinical Services award from United Healthcare, “40 Under 40” recognition by The Daily News, and the Hometown Hero award from The Carolyn Taylor Lee Foundation.
With an impressive track record of accomplishments and a passion for social work, Dr. Cravens continues to be a driving force in her field, anticipating future opportunities to empower and uplift those around her.
